2023 Alexander Valley
Cabernet Sauvignon

Bright acidity, lingering tension, and subtle complexity–all balanced by pure, concentrated fruit.

Deep garnet with trace of ruby red along its rim, this debut release offers savory aromas of Santa Rosa red plum and boysenberry intertwined with spiced notes of cigar box, cedar, and sage. Black cherry and dried red fruits are lifted by a hint of crunchy sea salt salinity on the palate. Ultra fine-grained tannins supported by mineral driven acidity carry the wine expansively through the midpalate, lending tension through the long, elegant finish.

2022 SONOMA COUNTY ACCOLADES

92 pts, James Suckling
“A pretty, charming, elegant red with almost-sweet fruit flavors tempered by vivid acidity and moderate tannins. Red cherries, raspberries, subtle spearmint and cinnamon. Technically full-bodied, but it feels so balanced and lively. Aged in 10% new oak, part of it being American barrels. Drink now or hold.” – Jim Gordon

92 pts, Wine Enthusiast
“This supple and friendly expression of Cabernet delivers aromas of concentrated cherry, blackberry, flowers, and cocoa on the nose. The palate is loaded with flavors of raspberry gastrique, dark chocolate, cinnamon, and pepper, with juicy acidity and just enough tannin to balance.” – Tom R. Capo

Alexander Valley

Sonoma County encompasses 60,000 acres of vineyards and 18 distinct appellations. With the 2023 vintage, we are proud to source our cabernet sauvignon fruit exclusively from our estate vineyard in Alexander Valley, a region renowned for producing elegant and intensely structured wines.

Sonoma County stretches from the Pacific Coast in the west to the Mayacamas Mountains in the east, and is home to almost 60,000 acres of vineyards. Within the borders are 18 AVAs, each with its own distinctive characteristics.

Our 55-acre estate vineyard is located on the southern edge of the Alexander Valley AVA of Sonoma County, perched a mere 30 feet above the banks of the Russian River. Here, vines are planted on alluvial, well-drained soils and enjoy cool, foggy mornings which quickly give way to warm afternoon sun, all characteristics on which the varietal thrives. After years of sourcing from this estate vineyard for our Sonoma County cabernet, we are thrilled to showcase this exceptional site in a single bottling, placing Alexander Valley proudly on the label.
