2019 Moon Mountain
Cabernet Franc

Beautifully balanced with enticing notes of ripe black plum, blueberry, and white pepper mingling with earthy notes of cut greens and wet slate. *Limited release*

Harvested from the rocky, volcanic soils of the Moon Mountain District just north of the town of Sonoma, this garnet-purple colored wine presents enticing aromas of spiced black plum, camphor, and a touch of dried herbs. Concentrated notes of blackcurrant and bramble berries on the palate mingle with white pepper and a touch of wet slate, anchored by fine-grained tannins that round out the elegant finish.

Moon Mountain, Sonoma County

Sonoma County encompasses 60,000 acres of vineyards and 18 distinct appellations. We focus on sourcing fruit for our Sonoma County cabernet franc from the Moon Mountain district to provide elegant and intensely structured wines.

The Moon Mountain District is located in the eastern hills above Sonoma Valley at elevations ranging from 400 to over 2,000 feet within the Mayacamas Mountain Range. With predominantly southeastern facing slopes and rocky, volcanic soils, the region is known for producing high quality, full-bodied varieties such as cabernet franc.
