2023 Sonoma Coast
Chardonnay

Clean, crisp and refreshing fresh fruit structure with mineral highlights. Perfect for a wide range of foods or enjoyed on its own.

Crystalline pale straw with a faint chlorophyllic tint, the 2023 Sonoma Coast Chardonnay opens with lifted aromas of freshly picked green apple, and is fragrantly perfumed with Meyer lemon zest, gardenia, honeysuckle, and orange blossom. On the palate, notes of Honeycrisp apple lead a well-focused palate punctuated by a burst of fresh guava. Mineral-driven, vibrant acidity accented with a flaky sea salt-like crunchiness is interlaced with a delicate creamy yet firmly structured texture. The finish is pure and clean with good tension and energy through the lingering, expressively juicy finish.

2022 ACCOLADES

93pts, James Suckling
“The 2022 Chardonnay Sonoma Coast takes on a touch deeper straw appearance but is still pale yellow and offers notes of wet stone, ripe peach, and melon rind. It’s full-bodied, with a rounded mouthfeel and good lifted freshness, more ripe peach, melon, and flowers and a good finish. This attractive white also reveals a touch of warming spice. Drink it over the next few years.” -James Suckling

92pts, Jeb Dunnuck
“The 2022 Chardonnay, made with 98% estate fruit, is open and perfumed with scents of fresh quince, yellow apples, cashews, acacia and bread dough. The light-bodied palate features generous, crunchy fruit, a touch of roundness to its texture, tangy freshness and a long, ethereal finish. This is very easy to drink!” -Audrey Frick

Sonoma Coast

The vineyards along the Sonoma Coast feature marine influences that define this sweeping appellation, an area that stretches from the San Pablo Bay all the way to the Mendocino County line.

The Sonoma Coast American Viticulture Area (AVA) covers over 480,000 acres, with roughly 7,000 acres planted with vines.  Temperatures are moderate, with evenings dipping to 40s as a result of the fog off Bodega Bay and day time highs typically in the low 70s.  Growing grapes in the dramatically cool western reaches of Sonoma County is complex and demanding, with the end result truly worth the risk. The resulting fruit produces wines that are elegant and intensely structured.
